Salesforce CPQ
quote-to-cash, wired tight.
Salesforce CPQ is where your quote-to-cash process lives or dies. We build the product rules, pricing, and discount approvals so reps quote in minutes without leaking margin, then wire the approved quote straight through to billing.
Quote Engine
Quote-to-cash · live
Every discount checked against the approval matrix, every line priced from the live price book, at quote time. Not reconciled at month-end.

Quote-to-cash triage
Slow quotes lose deals. Sloppy quotes lose margin.
A broken quoting process never announces itself. You find it in the deals that stalled waiting for a sign-off, and in the margin that walked out the door on discounts nobody actually approved.
Quotes that take days, not minutes
Reps rebuild the same 20-line bundle by hand in every opportunity, then wait two days for a manager to eyeball the discount. The quote lands after the buyer has already opened your competitor's. Manual configuration is where deals go to cool.
Discounts nobody approved
With no approval matrix, a rep drops 35% to close a Q4 deal and nobody sees it until the revenue review. No threshold rules, no escalation, no audit trail, just margin leaking one 'exception' at a time.
Price books drifting out of date
One active price book, three stale ones nobody archived, and reps still quoting last year's rates off a duplicate. When a product's price changes it changes in a spreadsheet, and never makes it back into CPQ.
The handoff to billing that drops data
The quote is approved, then someone re-keys it into the billing system by hand. Line items, terms, and discounts get transcribed twice, so the invoice doesn't match the quote and finance spends month-end reconciling instead of closing.
Clean quotes come from clean rules.
1. Audit the quote path
We map every product, bundle, and price book in the org, trace a live quote from configuration to approved PDF, and find where discounts escape and price books diverge. Nothing gets rebuilt until we know what is actually broken.
2. Build the rules & guardrails
Product and price rules, guided selling, a tiered discount approval matrix with escalation, and quote-document templates. Configured, validated against your real deals, and tested so a rep cannot produce an off-policy quote.
3. Wire cash & hand over
Approved quotes flow into billing and invoicing with no re-keying, the whole build documented, and your admins get the runbook: how to add a product, change a price book, and move an approval threshold without us.
What lands in your hands.
Not a slide on how CPQ could work. A live quoting engine your reps use every day, running inside your own Salesforce org.
Product & pricing rules that hold
Configuration attributes, option constraints, and price rules that assemble bundles correctly and price every line from one active price book. Reps pick from valid options, so the quote is right before anyone reviews it.
A discount approval matrix
Tiered thresholds that route a 15% discount to a manager and a 30% one to the VP, with the approval logged on the quote record. Reps can still price aggressively, but only the approved kind, and every exception has a name attached.
Quote documents on demand
Branded quote templates generated from the record in one click, with the right terms, line items, and totals. No rebuilding a proposal in a Word doc, and no version that disagrees with the CPQ record.
Quote-to-cash into billing
Approved quotes pushed straight into your billing and invoicing system with line items and terms intact, so the invoice matches the quote by construction. Finance closes the month instead of reconciling transcription errors.

Scope depends on your product catalogue, pricing complexity, and billing stack. We quote after a short call, not from a rate card, and everything is built and owned inside your Salesforce org.
The questions we get asked.
What access do you need?
System Administrator on your Salesforce org, or a scoped admin profile we configure, plus the CPQ managed-package permissions. We build in a sandbox first, and nothing touches production until you have approved it in a full quote-to-cash test.
How long until reps are quoting from it?
The audit and price-book cleanup take the first week. Product rules, the approval matrix, and quote templates go in over the next two, tested against your real deals. Most orgs have reps quoting from the new engine in about three weeks. Heavy catalogues with hundreds of SKUs run longer, and we say so up front.
Who pays for the Salesforce CPQ licenses?
You do, on your own Salesforce contract. CPQ is a per-user add-on priced by Salesforce, and the licenses stay in your name. We size the seat count to the reps who actually quote and advise on the edition, but the subscription is yours, and so is every asset we build on it.
Isn't Salesforce CPQ being replaced by Revenue Cloud?
Salesforce has pointed new customers at Revenue Cloud Advanced, but CPQ remains supported and runs in thousands of orgs, and rushing a migration to fix a broken quoting process just moves the mess onto a new platform. We get your existing CPQ clean and correct first. If a Revenue Cloud migration is the right call later, you do it from a working baseline, not a pile of stale price books.
Our product catalogue is a mess. Is that a problem?
That is the normal starting point. Duplicate products, orphaned price-book entries, and inconsistent units of measure are exactly what the audit surfaces in week one. We clean the catalogue and consolidate to one active price book as part of the build, so the rules you get sit on data that is actually correct.
What happens after handover?
Your admins own the price books, the approval matrix, and the quote templates, with the runbook for adding products, changing prices, and adjusting approval thresholds. Nothing breaks if you run it alone. Some clients keep a light retainer for catalogue changes and new-product rollouts, but that is a choice, not a dependency.
